This hamburgers are quick and easy to make. They make a great option for weeknight cooking even on nights where we have other activities like Wednesday Night church.
Ingredients
- 3 pounds 90 percent lean ground sirloin
- 2-3 tablespoons of canned chipotle peppers, minced or food processed
- kosher salt
- black pepper
- 8 hamburger buns or Arnold Sandwich Thins
- Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, etc.
- vegetable oil to oil up the grill
Directions
- Preheat Grill for 10 to 15 minutes. Clean grill with wire brush or grill pad. Using tongs, dip paper towel in vegetable oil and coat grill with oil.
- Line baking sheet with Aluminum Foil, cut 2 more Foil pieces the same size. Set 1 piece of foil next to the baking sheet for more patties, save the other for post-grill cover.
- Combine Ground Sirloin and minced chipotle peppers in a large bowl, but don’t overwork.
- Roll out eight equally sized portions of meat, then proceed to patty out each roll into a hamburger patty, again don’t overwork. Place half of the patties on the foil on the baking sheet and the other half on the second piece of foil.
- Proceed with liberal salt and pepper on both sides of the patties. Place foil with patties on top of the patties on the baking sheet and take them out to grill.
- Place the patties on the grill and cook 3 to 4 minutes per side.
- Once both sides are done place back on the baking sheet and cover with the third piece of aluminum foil.
