So after deleting my previous website and starting over, perhaps for the umpteenth time, I managed to make three blog posts. I think this matches my previous high of three, so that’s good, right? This particular failure wasn’t due to laziness or same game I became obsessed with, though there was a two or three week stint of playing Minecraft with my boys.
The issue was more associated with wanting to do a perfect post for the shou sugi ban shelves. The hope was to record the process, provide some directions and share what it took to get the job done, how it turned out and what could have been done better. Yeah, that never happened. This partly stems from the effort of having to stop working on the project, to instead video yourself working on the project. It is also very easy to let yourself be affected by the lack of polish/perfection of the finished product. Well it’s never too late and I have another set of shelves I need to complete for the office so we’ll see if we can’t do a better job of putting something together. No promises, but maybe we can complete the task this time.
